Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data I collect through samuelurbi.com and the tools described below, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the privacy laws of the United States, including California.

01Who is responsible
This website and the tools described here are run by Samuel Urbina, an independent designer based in Venezuela (“I”, “me”). For anything related to your data, write to [email protected].
02This website
The website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or forms. My hosting and network providers (Vercel and Cloudflare) process technical data such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request, only to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. I do not use that data to identify you.
If you email me, I use your name, email address and message to reply and, if we work together, to manage the project. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you or the steps you ask for before a contract. I keep those emails for up to 24 months after our last contact, or longer if a contract or the law requires it.
03Google user data
I run an internal tool, “Samuel VPS”, that connects to my own Google account. It uses the Google Drive permission limited to files the app itself creates (drive.file) to store encrypted backups and, when enabled, read-only access to Gmail to summarise my own inbox. It is for my personal use only and is not offered to other people.
Data received from Google is used only for those functions. It is not sold, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising and not used to train artificial intelligence models.
The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
04Meta apps (Instagram and Facebook)
My publishing app publishes content to Instagram and Facebook accounts that their owners connect on purpose. To do that it stores the account ID and name, the access token Meta issues, the content scheduled to be published and basic statistics of the published posts.
That data is used only to publish and show results to the account owner. It is not sold or used for advertising. The owner can disconnect the app at any time and ask me to delete the data (see Data deletion). If I offer other services built on Meta platforms, this policy will be updated before they start.
05Service providers and transfers
I rely on these providers, which process data on my behalf and only as needed for their service:
- Vercel (website hosting, United States).
- Cloudflare (domain, network and security, United States).
- Hostinger (server for the internal tools).
- Google (Drive and Gmail, for the internal tools).
- Meta (Instagram and Facebook APIs, for the publishing app).
- Zoho (email).
06International transfers
Some of these providers store data in the United States or other countries outside your own. When that happens, they apply the safeguards required by law, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
07Your rights
You can ask me to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive it in a portable format. California residents have the right to know what personal information I hold and to ask for it to be deleted. I do not sell or share personal information.
Write to [email protected] and I will reply within 30 days. If you are in the European Union and are not satisfied, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country.
08Data deletion
How to ask for your data to be deleted, including data from the Meta and Google apps, is explained on the Data deletion page.
09Security, minors and changes
Access to the tools is protected with encryption, keys and restricted access. The website and the tools are not directed to children under 16.
If this policy changes, I will publish the new version here with its date.
